Planet@Risk Special Issue on Integrative Risk Management towards Resilient cities
This year’s International Disaster and Risk Conference theme has been «Integrative Risk Management - towards resilient cities», focusing on urban areas and promoting their resilience. Key questions discussed include: how to make cities less vulnerable to threats andhow to increase resilience to make cities a safer place.
We would like to encourage potential authors to contribute to this Special Issue from all perspectives and disciplines to enrich the discussion on the current state of Integrated Disaster Risk Reduction. This Special Issue on IDRC Davos 2016 is of interest to business leaders, decision makers, practitioners, UN-, IO- & NGO-agents, scientists, and many more.
Deadline for submission is the 30 November 2016.
Manuscript Submission
Manuscripts should be formatted and be submitted online according to the instructions outlined in the Guidelines for Authors. In order to submit a contribution in the correct format, authors are advised to use our Template for Manuscripts. Manuscripts submitted in a different format than the one requested, will not be considered for the review process.
English language editing: English language editing will be done by experts/editors after receipt of article processing charge. However manuscript must be of good quality English at the time of submission, otherwise it will be rejected at the initial stage. The English language editing will be done free of cost.
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not comply with these guidelines.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in "Comments to the Editor").
- All co-authors have given their consent to the final version of the manuscript and to its submission to the journal for publication. The lead author is responsible to achieve that consent.
- The submission file is in Open Office, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
- The template for manuscripts has been used to format the manuscript and the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the guidelines for authors have been followed.
